Fighting the Battle...

Updated: Feb 16, 2022

As a self employed, one man operation I would like to reach out and say that now as always, I am grateful for every client currently on the schedule and those who have yet to book but will in the coming weeks.

A lot has been going around about supporting local business in these strange times, and to say that I am blessed to not have been impacted yet is an understatement.

The nature of working from home has insulated myself and Calibrated K9 to an extent, allowing for 'business as usual' without any major changes in operations.

As for what matters-I have come across mixed reports that COVID-19 is not reverse zoonotic, and also that there have been extremely limited cases.

So as with much of our current understanding of the virus, the jury is out as to whether or not our animals can be affected.

Such is the nature of the internet...

Having said that: Maintaining a clean and sanitized environment while working in my home with multiple pets each week has always been a priority, and in that regard nothing in my daily disinfection protocol has changed.

The best Veterinary and Kennel disinfectant available will continue to be used liberally on crates, equipment and surfaces. As such, be confident that your pets' well being is still the number one concern.

Additionally, any clients who would like to opt for doing lessons via FaceTime or Skype are encouraged to voice that request without hesitation.

During in-person private lessons we will be practicing social distancing as prescribed, in an effort to minimize transmission potential (6' minimum distance between people).

If there are any concerns about contact during pickups and drop offs I am happy to game plan an appropriate strategy. Ultimately, it's all about communication. So, let's talk!

Many people are now working from home and I encourage you to take the opportunity to take care of what truly matters-spend extra time with your family, and with your pets.

Get an extra walk or training session in each day. Enjoy the change of pace, outside of the reason for it.

Smile.

We're all in this together, and in that spirit I am happy to help in whatever way I can.

Boarding is still available for past clients, and flexibility in adjusting to client needs and schedules, and quality work are still drivers in day to day operations.

Let me know what you need, and I am happy to accommodate to the best of my abilities.

Ben
